So this will be the first of many short single-topic blog posts, just so I don't spend another week trying to make one big fancy post.
Here we go:
So I've been doing some more work on website designing
Here are some uses of the diamonds discussed in the last post:
These are only for a gallery page, with the picture name and thumbnail on the left, with the right 2 thirds of the window reserved for the actual image.
Of course the widths and positioning on these boxes will be dynamic, adjusting relative to the window size.
Another idea I felt that reflects a more doodly, anatomical feel. Although this is just a background, I like the charcoal and grey for the background. It adds some noise to the otherwise plain background. I was thinking that the buttons would represent something more akin to Little Big Planet.
I recently found the works of Henry gray online, which is a complete encyclopedia of beautiful anatomical drawings of the human body, and has always been somewhat inspirational to me. Seeing as a lot of my drawings involve some gross aliens or deformed bodies, these sorts of intricate organic drawings fit perfectly with the sort of art I'll be putting online.
On a side note, I've been playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution a lot and any anatomical drawing I see is always overlaid with robotic augmentations in my mind.
I've also done some rough designs for the propaganda billboards in Kernel's opening sequence:
Once I've finished the final images, I'll add some roughing up, such as rips and stains to show that these billboards have been in place for a long time.
